Konstanz Wine Festival

📍 Sankt-Stephans-Platz, Konstanz | July 30 – August 2, 2025

Konstanz knows how to throw a city wine fest: charming old town alleys, 30+ wine taverns, local snacks, and music you can’t help but sing along to. Kids get their own Saturday celebration while the grown-ups sip through the evening. A €6 wristband gets you in all weekend (but early birds can enter free).

Reichenau Wine & Fishermen’s Festival

📍 Lake Constance | August 1–3, 2025

Wines by the water? We’ll never say no. This lakeside fest on the island of Reichenau has been going strong for 44 years and brings together fresh-caught fish, local wine, and marina views. Organized by 11 local clubs, it’s a celebration of Baden’s best food and wine with live music, lake breezes, and vibes all weekend long.

Germany Wine Festivals in Franken in August 2025

Welcome to the land of Silvaner, cellar doors, and bottles shaped like flattened pumpkins (yes, that’s the iconic Bocksbeutel). The Franken wine region is all about mineral-rich whites, medieval market towns, and wine lovers who want culture with their Chardonnay. It’s crisp, it’s classy, and it’s way more fun than the guidebooks let on.

Weinfest in Bayreuth

📍 Bayreuth | August 7–11, 2025 | Marktplatz

Bayreuth’s historic market square goes full-on Franconian wine lounge for five festive days. Sip your way through regional styles while live bands light up the evenings and local food keeps you fueled. The Franken Festival opens with the Franconian Wine Queen and the mayor leads the toast on August 7 at 6:30 PM. Our friends at Privat Weingut Schmitt will be pouring, so don’t miss them!

75 years young and still pouring strong. The Olewiger Weinfest is a cultural icon in Trier, turning the Olewiger Straße into a car-free, wine-soaked promenade for four days of pure summer joy. There will be cozy courtyards, live music, local food, and lots of Riesling. 

Sektgala Trier

📍Trier | August 8–11, 2025

Sparkling fans, this one’s basically your Super Bowl. Now in its 6th edition, the Sekt Gala has quickly become one of Trier’s most elegant wine events with white pagoda tents, live music, DJs, and premium bubbles from top estates. Collectible Sekt glasses drop each year but grab it early! They sell fast and make the cutest souvenirs. And we’re extra excited because Dienhart Weine, one of our partner wineries, will be there pouring sparkle-worthy sips.

📍 Ayl, Saar | August 9–10, 2025

Calling all Riesling lovers! Our registered winery Peter Lauer invites you to their vinothek in Ayl to taste through the exciting 2024 vintage. This drop-in afternoon tasting is perfect for building your Saar palate or grabbing bottles before allocations disappear. Go early in the session for the tastiest lineup since the top cuvées pour fast.

If Germany’s wine regions had a cool older cousin, it’d be the Pfalz. With sunny weather, vibrant villages, and a wine fest practically every weekend, this place knows how to pour and party. Burg Wine Festival Neuleiningen

📍 Neuleiningen | August 1–4, 2025

Live music? Free entry? Castle courtyard vibes? Say no more. This award-winning Pfalz wine fest is held in the Burghof, where Neuleiningen winemakers serve up local wines alongside jazz, pop, salsa, and delicious Palatinate food. Its like a fairy tale, but with better wine!

Deidesheimer Weinkerwe

📍 Deidesheim | August 8–12 & August 15–19, 2025

Two full weekends. Dozens of wineries. Historic courtyards flung wide open. The Deidesheimer Weinkerwe is a Palatinate legend. Bahnhofstraße transforms into the “Woigass,” a street-long tasting stroll loaded with wine stalls, regional eats, music, and fair fun for families. Don’t miss the Wine Princess enthronement (Aug 8), the traditional opening & Kerwe tree (Aug 9), or the quirky Kerwe topper auction (Aug 19). 

Wine Festival of Friendship

📍 Neustadt-Duttweiler | August 8–11, 2025

Decorated winemakers’ courtyards, community music, and wines grown in loess and clay soils that make Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, and Pinot totally shine. Duttweiler’s fest kicks off Friday at 7 PM with the Wine Princess crowning, then rolls into a weekend of live sets, brunches, Dumpling Monday (hello, Dampfnudeln), and chill village energy. It’s local in the best way.

Fassschlubber Festival

📍 Siebeldingen | August 8–10, 2025

The Fassschlubber Fest takes over the schoolyard under chestnut trees with live music all three days and pours from local growers. It’s relaxed, slightly rustic, totally social and a great way to taste what younger generations in the Pfalz are pouring.

Residence Festival 2025

📍 Kirchheimbolanden | August 9–11, 2025

Known affectionately as the “Resi” by locals, this festival in the charming town of Kirchheimbolanden is celebrating its 73rd round and it’s as fabulous as ever. Once crowned the Most Beautiful Wine Festival in the Palatinate, the Residenzfest brings together wine, live music, and local flair for three sun-soaked days. Expect historic courtyards, tasty Palatinate eats, and a wide selection of regional wines.

Impflingen Wine Festival – A Palatinate Favorite

📍 Impflingen | August 15–18, 2025

If you’re after beautifully decorated wine courtyards and major atmosphere, Impflingen delivers. This beloved Palatinate fest is spread across eight courtyards, each with its own wine list, local delicacies, and musical entertainment. You’ll find everything from bratwurst to fine wines and maybe even your new favorite winemaker. The music scene is impressive too, with something for every vibe.

Nierstein Winegrowers’ Festival

📍 Nierstein | July 31 – August 4, 2025

Five days. Dozens of wineries. One giant Ferris wheel. From classic vineyard tastings to riverside rides, Nierstein’s Weinfest offers big energy and even bigger pours. Thursday’s Grand Quality Wine Tasting kicks off the party with jazz, funk, and a theme that changes every year. The €29 entry includes a wine glass that you’ll definitely want to keep!

Weinsalon Rheinhessen – Sunset Edition

📍 Mainz | August 5, 2025

Sun down, wine up! This is your midweek reminder that Tuesdays don’t have to be boring. Weinsalon Rheinhessen takes over the riverside with street food, DJ beats, and top wines from Rheinhessen’s coolest young winemakers. It’s like a wine bar picnic + dance party + perfect golden hour hang. Show up early for a riverfront spot and the best food truck selection.

Oppenheim Wine Festival

📍 Oppenheim | August 8–11, 2025

Old town charm + Rheinhessen wine = a perfect late-summer weekend. Oppenheim’s signature wine fest fills the lanes around the historic Rathaus with regional wine stands, easygoing music, and community energy that feels like a reunion. Evenings start at 7:30 PM ideal for golden hour sipping. Come hungry because local clubs and associations show up big in the food department for the Oppenheim fest!

Wine Festival at the Nieder-Flörsheim Market

📍Flörsheim-Dalsheim | August 15–19, 2025

Nieder-Flörsheim may be small, but its Flörsheim Dalsheim fest? It goes big. Local wineries open up their courtyards, turning the streets into a delicious maze of wine stands, regional dishes, and cozy conversation. Friday kicks off with live performances and the ceremonial appearance of “Miss Flörsheim” herself. This is a must to taste Flörsheim Dalsheim local wein!

Harxheim Wine Courtyard Festival

📍 Harxheim | August 22–25, 2025

Looking for something a little more relaxed? The Harxheim Wine Courtyard Festival skips the loud stages in favor of intimate courtyard tastings and cozy vibes. Local winemakers and restaurants open their doors for a weekend of great food, charming settings, and award-winning wines all backed by the Rheinhessen AUSGEZEICHNET seal of quality. It’s a down-to-earth festival with plenty of heart (and plenty of Riesling).

Wine Lounge Alzey

End-of-summer apéro, anyone? This final Wine Lounge of the season is your midweek excuse to unwind with top-tier wines from Alzey’s best. It’s chill, local, and complete with tasty bites (yes, bratwurst in a bun and French veggie stir-fry). Bring your friends, grab a glass, and soak up the loungey vibes one last time.

BurgbergUnderVibes Wine Festival

📍 Ingelheim | August 28–31, 2025

This is not your average Weinfest…it’s a mountaintop vibe fest! Set in the vineyards above the Burgkirche, this event pairs chilled-out beats with elegant Burgundy wines, scenic views, and laid-back food stalls. DJs, face painting, straw bounce castles, and one very vibey Sunday? We’re there.

Mainz Wine Market

📍 Stadtpark Mainz | August 28–31 + September 4–7, 2025

The crown jewel of summer Germany wine festivals. Two jam-packed weekends of wine tastings (1,000+ options!), local bites, a sparkling wine garden, an arts & crafts market, and picnic kits in the rose garden. It’s Mainz at its most magical. Germany Wine Festivals in Rheingau in August 2025

Small but mighty, the Rheingau wine region of Germany packs serious wine history into a compact stretch along the Rhine. It’s home to legendary Rieslings, a few standout Pinot Noirs, and some of Germany’s oldest and most prestigious estates. The region is super easy to explore—with castles, monasteries, and river views around every corner.

Hallgarten Winemakers’ Festival

📍 Rheingau | August 1–4, 2025

Small but mighty, this village fest in Hallgarten keeps it charming with a circle of wine booths surrounding the town square. Expect seven winemakers pouring their best, a courtyard of local faves, and music every night to carry you into the stars. 

Wicker Wine Festival

📍 Flörsheim am Main | August 1–3, 2025

Wicker might be small, but this fest brings big vibes. Local winemakers open their courtyards, wine taverns, and pop-up bars throughout the old village center. Highlights include the Friday kickoff with wine royals (yes, crowns and all) and the charming Katharinenhof courtyard wine bar hosted by our partner, Weingut Joachim Flick.

Rheingau Wine Week

📍 Wiesbaden | August 8–17, 2025

If you’re looking for the Rheingau wine festival 2025, then this is it! Ten days. Over 100 Rheingau wineries. More than 1,000 wines and Sekts to try. The Rheingau wine festival Frankfurt turns downtown Wiesbaden into one giant tasting garden stretching from the historic town hall to the Market Church. Live bands (nearly 50!), radio stages, souvenir glasses, and serious culinary backup make this a “cancel-all-other-plans” kind of event. Opening night features the Rheingau Wine Queen and city dignitaries so arrive early if you want in on the ceremony. The €2 Wine Week glass is the best €2 memory you’ll bring home! We’ll be cheering on our partner Weingut August Eser—go say hi!

Rüdesheim Wine Festival – “Summer of Riesling”

📍 Rüdesheim am Rhein | August 14–18, 2025

Set under the leafy plane trees of Rüdesheim’s romantic marketplace, this long-standing tradition is peak Rheingau energy. Every day from Friday through Monday, bands bring the vibes and the winemakers bring the goods…aka, lots and lots of Riesling at the Rüdesheim wine festival. Monday’s finale is a Rhineland-themed bash that celebrates all things regional. This is a can’t-miss if you love Riesling and a good dance floor.

Rauenthal Kirchweih and Wine Festival

📍 Rauenthal | August 15–18, 2025

This centuries-old celebration began as a church dedication back in 1491. Gather under the linden trees near St. Antonius Church for a small-but-mighty fest full of history, Riesling, and family-friendly fun. Expect live music, free carriage rides, a festive tree auction, and a warm welcome from Rheingau wine royalty.

Germany Wine Festivals in Württemberg in August 2025

Württemberg is Germany’s red wine underdog – home to Trollinger, Lemberger, and surprisingly delicious Rosés. It’s casual, community-focused, and best enjoyed at a fest with live music and a plate of käsespätzle.

Wengertfescht at Wartberg

📍 Heilbronn | August 6–9, 2025

Three wineries, one cozy hilltop fest, and the kind of atmosphere that feels very Württemberg. Held on the slopes of the Wartberg, this fest includes wines from Weingut Drautz-Able, Weinhaus Kießling, and Weingut Albrecht, plus food, views, and community vibes for days. Pack comfy shoes and come early—the walk from parking or the bus stop is part of the charm.

Bonus for campers: There are multiple camper-friendly spots nearby—including one in the vineyards. Could it be more iconic?

Stuttgart Wine Village

📍 Stuttgart | August 21 – September 6, 2025

When vineyards meet the city center — welcome to the Stuttgarter Weindorf! Over 500 wines, charmingly decorated booths, and Swabian specialties (hello, Kässpätzle and Maultaschen!) turn downtown Stuttgart into a wine-sipping wonderland. Don’t miss the chance to explore the creative side of the local scene with up-and-coming winemakers showing off their best bottles.
