Stuttgart, the capital city of the German state of Baden-Württemberg, is known for its excellent wine production (and several of Germany’s biggest musicals). 

The region boasts a range of vineyards with over 11,000 hectares of grapes, producing a variety of wines, including Riesling, Trollinger, and Lemberger.

Surrounded by hills, Stuttgart’s unique terroir and climate create a perfect environment for growing high-quality grapes. Don’t miss the Stuttgart Wine Trail (the Stuttgarter Wanderweg) to get an overview of allllll the wine the region has to offer.

Our personal Stuttgart favorite? German sparkling wine. They can’t call it Champagne (because #rules) but this bubbly perfection is worth a taste… or two
