If Slow Days, Garden Vibes & Great Wine Speak to You—This Is Your Spot
This is your soft start to spring. Picture it: sunshine, garden tables, local food, and biodynamic wines poured right where they’re made.
At Weingut Trautwein’s Courtyard Wine Garden (aka HOF-WEIN-GARTEN), you’re invited to sip their new vintage, snack on vineyard plates, and chat with the winemakers themselves—no pretentious tasting room energy here.
Nestled in the rolling hills of the Kaiserstuhl, this small, family-run winery—led by Anne-Christin and Christoph Trautwein—is one of the region’s top producers of organic and biodynamic wines. Their focus is on low-intervention farming and winemaking that lets the grapes—and the land—shine through. Expect bright, clean, and well-balanced wines, from easygoing everyday bottles to more structured styles with depth and minerality. Whether you’re new to wine or know your way around a tasting note, there’s something here to love.

Grape Tip
This isn’t a wine tour—
Wear layers (spring in Germany, IYKYK), bring a wine tote for your favorite bottles, and definitely say hi to the winemakers. They’re passionate, friendly, and love sharing their story—especially when you mention you found them through Really Grape.
