Spring Wine Festival Vibes: Meckenheim’s WeinTestival
April 26 - April 27

This Spring Wine Festival Turns Vineyards into Dance Floors: Meckenheim’s WineTestival
Get ready for a Spring Wine Festival like no other! Nestled between orchards and vineyards, Meckenheim’s “6 auf der Höhe” WeinTestival is where fine wine meets festival vibes. Think crisp Rieslings, DJ beats, and a vineyard wine walk that turns a simple tasting into a full-on weekend experience.
Why You’ll Love It
- Wine Tasting with a View – Sip six outstanding wines from Meckenheim’s top winemakers, all while soaking in the stunning Haardtblick panorama.
- From Live Music to Techno Beats – Saturday kicks off with live bands before transitioning into a DJ-driven techno celebration under the stars.
- Sunday Wine Walk – Grab a glass and explore the scenic Weinparcours, where six tasting stations await you among the vines.
🍷 Sip Tip: Start with a Weißburgunder in the afternoon and end with a bold Spätburgunder as the sun sets!
Really Grape Details:
Saturday: 5 PM – 1 AM (Live music & DJ sets)
Sunday: 12 PM – Midnight (Weinparcours + music)
Getting There Like a Local
If driving is a must, here’s the insider move: park at Handrichshof (the farm on the left side of the road from Meckenheim to Haßloch). It’s the locals’ secret spot with plenty of space and just a short walk to the festival grounds. The official parking gets packed faster than you can say “Riesling.”
Ready to sip, dance, and explore? Meckenheim’s finest wines are waiting. 🍷
Beyond the Spring Wine Festival
This Spring Wine Festival is just the start! Make it a Pfalz wine weekend and discover more hidden-gem wineries while you’re here. Our favorite Pfalz wineries? Here they are:
- Weingut Schloss Janson
- Nestled among the middle-aged remnants of Emichsburg Castle, this historic winery has been run by the Janson family for over 6 generations. Schloss Janson is steeped in tradition and prides itself on sustainable practices, an impressive collection of wines, and reasonable prices.
- Schlossgut Lüll
- Built in the 14th century, Schlossgut Lüll has been in the family since 1889. Spread across 2.3 hectares, the estate encompasses the castle, a historic park, and several heritage-listed buildings. Schlossgut Lüll offers wines from their fifth-generation family vineyard. What makes their wine special? It embodies the spirit of Rheinhessen, Wachenheim, and the Zellertal, narrating tales from pruning to fermentation. It craves companionship, festivity, beautiful moments, and shared experiences. Giving it a try is worth the experience!
- Vier Jahreszeiten Winzer eG
- Among the charming scenic beauty, Vier Jahreszeiten Winery is located in Bad Dürkheim, within the Pfalz wine region. The rich-quality wines of the estate are well-known worldwide and have won many awards, competing against Germany’s other wineries. Every September, the estate celebrates a 600-year-old wine festival, the largest globally, Wurstmarkt, attended by international wine lovers.
