Wine, Lake Views & Württemberg Charm
Picture this: 170 wines, 20 winemakers, a scenic lakeside village, and you—lounging on a beach chair with a glass in hand. This is not your average wine tasting.
Set along the shores of Breitenauer Lake, the German Wine Festival at the Lake is one of Württemberg’s premier wine weekends. Local wineries from the Weinsberger Tal (a top wine-producing valley near Heilbronn) bring their best bottles—everything from crisp whites to velvety reds—for three full days of sipping, snacking, and scenic vineyard vibes.

Grape Tip 🍇
What’s a Besen, you ask? It’s short for Besenwirtschaft, a pop-up winery tavern serving house-made food & wine, typically in rustic, no-frills settings. And the food at this fest delivers serious comfort: hearty Swabian dishes made to pair with local wines.
Also, hop on the Löwen-Express—a converted tractor wagon that takes you through the vineyards while you sip. It’s the ultimate “wine with a view” experience and a local favorite.
Note: Event details may change—always confirm before heading out.
Sip Tested & Approved by the Really Grape crew.
We’ve walked the lake path, sipped the Trollinger, and definitely saved room for second helpings at the sausage stand.
